Come be part of the “Camstrong benefit” to help 2-1/2 year old Cameron Watson beat spinal cord cancer. She is currently having expensive chemotherapy. It’s on Sunday, October 3 from 11-7 at Newville fairgrounds with good food, live music, and fun activities like a bounce house, face painting, and a cornhole tournament. Admission is $15 for adults, kids, $5. 


West Shore Church of the Brethren holds a parking lot drive-thru soup sale on Saturday, October 9th from 10 to 2 while supplies last.  get your chicken corn or ham and bean soup for $6 a quart with a free gift bag, DVD, and more.  The church is at 6921 Wertzville Road, Enola.


The Shippensburg area girl scout troop is having a sign-up night for new members this Thursday night at 6:30 at South Hampton park.  Girls age 11 to 17 are invited to come out and sign up. 


The 22nd annual Pennsboro pumpkin festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th at adams-ricci park in Enola.  There will be over 100 craft, food, and local business vendors., live music, and dance performances.  admission and parking are free.


There will be a reunion for all former members of the new genesis singles ministry on Sunday, October 10th from 2 pm till dusk at waggoners united methodist church pavillion, 1271 longs gap road, Carlisle.  reconnect with your many friends from new genesis.  for details, call marty line at 717-243-1091.


The drifters car club is having a cruise-in this Saturday night , October 2nd to see the movie “Smokey and the bandit” at the Cumberland drive-in theatre.  gates open at 5 and the concession stand will be open.  The movie starts at dusk.  Admission is $10 a car and all are welcome.  The drive-in is at the corner of route 11 and route 233, Newville. 


St. Teresa’s school hosts bingo every Tuesday night at 7.  The doors open at 5 with the kitchen open at 5:30.  All players can enjoy a free dinner.  The school is at 1200 bridge street, new Cumberland.


The lsl sportsmens club in Orrstown is having turkey shoots every Monday night at 7 now thru November 15th.  sign-ups begin at 5, and the kitchen opens at 5:30 with a weekly dinner special.  call Marcy for details at 717-830-3983.
